Dad's new favorite gadget
Bought this for my dad, who lives on his own and loves his pickled beets. One big button, and he figured it out before I'd even gotten the setup card open.
New The one-button edition, with a drop-in charging cradle
Opening a jar should be one step in making a meal, not a wrestling match. Set EasyTurner on a compatible jar and press the one large button. Its gripping jaws hold the jar and lid while the powered mechanism turns.
Works with compatible round, rigid jars with screw-top lids. Not for damaged glass, canning clamps (clamp-top jars) or pressure containers.
"The button's big and clearly marked, which is exactly what she wanted."
Small things, kitchen independence
Most of us want to keep running our own kitchens. Independence is made of small things, and one of them is opening your own jar of sauce, jam or pickles without hunting for a rubber pad, running the lid under hot water, or setting it aside "until someone's home."

How it works
Lift EasyTurner out of its charging cradle and seat it on a compatible round, rigid jar with a screw-top lid.
The gripping jaws hold the jar and lid while the powered mechanism does the turning. Keep fingers away from the moving jaws.
Use the clearly labelled release paddle, lift the opener away and drop it back into its cradle for next time.
Inside the design
Every visible part of EasyTurner has one job. Here's what each one does.
01 Β· One large control
There's no menu, no mode switch and no sequence to memorize. One big button on top does the starting and the stopping, which also makes it easy to hand to someone else.
"One big button, and he figured it out before I'd even gotten the setup card open."
02 Β· Visible release paddle
A dedicated, labelled release paddle sits within reach on the near side. Start and release are two separate controls, so you're never guessing which button does what.
"Sits right on the jar, the jaws grab the lid, and the release paddle's right there when it's done."
03 Β· Gripping jaws
Two outer arms hold the jar body and two inner jaws hold the lid while the powered mechanism turns. Your part is setting it on the jar and pressing the button. Keep fingers away from the moving jaws while it runs.
"Set it on the salsa, press the button, done."
04 Β· Drop-in charging cradle
When you're done, drop it into its charging dock. The full-width base supports the opener at both ends and leaves room beneath the jaws, and it stays on the counter or pantry shelf, charged and exactly where you left it. The USB-C cable is in the box; use a USB power adapter you already own.
"For once I know exactly where a kitchen gadget is."
05 Β· Made to sit out
A warm-white matte shell with grey controls and grip pads, softly rounded and quietly designed. It can live on the counter instead of in a drawer, so it's there when the jar comes out.
"Charges on the shelf, comes out for jars, goes back. Does what it says."
06 Β· One for you, one for Mom
Keep one and give one to a parent, sibling or friend. The One for You, One for Mom set includes two complete Kitchen Access Sets and a gift message card, shipped together to one address.
"Wrapped it up for my mom and she laughed when she opened it, then used it on the cranberry sauce before dinner."

Bought this for my dad, who lives on his own and loves his pickled beets. One big button, and he figured it out before I'd even gotten the setup card open.
Charges on the shelf, comes out for jars, goes back. Does what it says.
We spend half the year on the road and counter space is precious, so nothing goes in the rig unless it earns it. This one did. Set it on the salsa, press the button, done.
Keep it in the galley on the boat, mostly for olives and jam. It takes me a second or two to get it sitting square on the lid, but once it's on, one press and it does the turning.
I'm usually juggling three things at once when I cook, so anything that needs me to stop and wrestle a lid slows me down. Set this on top, press the button, and the jaws handle the lid.
Brought it down to the community garden shed for the pickled onions. Half the plots have asked to borrow it, which wasn't the plan.
Wrapped it up for my mom and she laughed when she opened it, then used it on the cranberry sauce before dinner. Easily the most-used present of the day.
Lives in the camper van next to the stove. Charges off USB-C, so it fits in with everything else we've got.
Got this for my mom's new apartment so she can open her own jam at breakfast without waiting on anyone. The button's big and clearly marked, which is exactly what she wanted.
Keep it up at the cabin for pasta sauce nights. Sits right on the jar, the jaws grab the lid, and the release paddle's right there when it's done.
The cradle sits by the coffee maker, so for once I know exactly where a kitchen gadget is. Small victories.
Retired, cook a lot, and this gets used every time I make chili. It's made for round rigid screw-top jars, so it won't do the odd-shaped hot sauce bottle I like, but on the jalapeΓ±o jars it's spot on.
FAQ
Every EasyTurner comes with 1 automatic jar opener, 1 charging cradle, 1 USB-C cable and 1 illustrated setup card. A wall adapter isn't included; use a USB power adapter you already own. The Kitchen Access Set adds a silicone grip-pad set (4), a 5-in-1 bottle, can-tab and lid opener, the free Easier Kitchen Access ebook and free shipping protection. One for You, One for Mom includes two of each, plus a gift message card.
EasyTurner is for compatible round, rigid jars with screw-top lids, like everyday jars of pasta sauce, jam, pickles or salsa. Don't use it on damaged glass, canning clamps (clamp-top jars) or pressure containers. Plastic jars, bottles and non-round lids aren't supported. For bottle caps, ring-pulls and small lids, the Kitchen Access Set includes a 5-in-1 opener.
No. Follow the illustrated setup card: charge it in the cradle, set it on a compatible jar, press the one large button, and use the release paddle when it's done. Keep fingers away from the moving jaws while it's running.
Keep fingers away from the moving jaws. Use it only on compatible round, rigid jars with screw-top lids, and never on damaged (chipped or cracked) glass, canning clamps or pressure containers. Read the setup card before first use, and keep it out of reach of children.
No. EasyTurner is a kitchen tool, not a medical device, and it isn't intended to treat, relieve or prevent any condition. What it does is simple: it does the turning on compatible jars, so you do less manual twisting.
With a grip pad or a manual opener, you still do the twisting. With EasyTurner, the gripping jaws hold the jar and lid while the powered mechanism turns, and you start or stop it with one clearly marked button. It also has a dedicated release paddle and a drop-in charging cradle, so it has a home between uses.
Drop it into the charging cradle and connect the cradle to a USB power adapter with the included USB-C cable. Keep it in its cradle between uses so it's ready next time. The setup card covers charging and care in full.
